Well, another year is upon us and people are making those silly New Year’s Resolutions again. Gonna lose weight? Gonna quit smoking? Gonna give up something bad for you?

I’ve not giving anything up for a resolution. Why should we make promises to give up things? Give into failure? The whole premise of a New Year’s Resolution is to do something positive so saying your “giving up” or “losing” something is a negative reinforcement and your doomed to failure from the start.

Instead of saying your going to “give up” or “quit” cigarettes, say your going to improve your health by not smoking. Say your going to improve the air in your household by not smoking. Never create a resolution mantra that starts with a negative, it works against you in the long run.

So what’s my New Year’s resolution? I have one and only one goal this year, relocate to Saint Thomas, US VI. My plan to reach that goal is to build an online business that will afford me the income I need to live in the paradise that is the U.S Virgin Islands.
