Asshat of the Week
That’s right! It’s that time of the week where some deserving asshat gets the spotlight here at the Monkey House. This weeks asshat starts out as a sad story, but devolves into complete asshattery.
Actor Dennis Quaid and his wife suffered a terrible tragedy when their newborn twins were given doses of a medication that were much stronger than they should have been. While the twins are going to be fine, this asshat decides that a lawsuit against the manufacturer is the best way to stop this from happening to someone else.
I’ve got news for you Dennis, this wasn’t the manufacturers fault, it was the mistakes of hospital personnel that lead to this tragic mishap. While I do feel something needs to done to prevent these errors from occurring in the future, dragging a pharmaceutical company through the courts is pointless. They have the money and power to make this a non-issue for them and all your doing is wasting the courts time Mr. Quaid.
