Your Weekly Republican Scandal

We’ve all heard the news, another Republican involved in yet another scandal. It sure seems like this is a weekly occurrence for the GOP, but is it really every week?
Apparently the answer is yes according to a post by Senate 2008 Guru over at Blogger.com where they list, broken down by date, all the troubles GOP pols get into. Now, I’m sure the Democrats aren’t 100% innocent either, but they don’t trot out and wave the “Family Values” flag every day. This is what makes failings of republicans all the more important, it shows they are bona fide Hypocrites.
Do as I say Johnny, not as I do.
Gah!

Do as I say Johnny, not as I do.
I don’t see problem with that per se. Eat your veggies, exercise, wash your dishes, quit smoking cigarettes, save money for retirement, feed the poor…all examples of good things we know we should do but don’t. Is it so wrong to ask people to try to do things even when we are so weak we cannot accomplish them? We root for people in the Olympics or TV shows like Idol or Biggest Loser yet we ourselves don’t do those things. I can’t sing, do sports, or exercise. So should I never advise people that it may be a good idea that they do so? Since I smoke cigarettes should I then not tell people how they are a terrible thing to pick up since if you never do it you won’t be chained to it….or just let the suckers get screwed? Would I be a hypocrite if I saw a 20 something kid light the first cig and didn’t say, you know, that can hurt you….they killed my grandmother, they make me cough a lot? Every single person is a hypocrite in something. Every single person has a skeleton.
