WordPress 2.3 will be released tomorrow, Monday Sept. 24, 2008, and I am chomping at the bit. I’ve been waiting for this version for the built in tagging to finish my theme design. My understanding is that a some plug-ins will break and I will have to check each blog to see what breaks as disable it. Then I get to spend the rest of the day either finding replacements or some other solution to get back any functionality that I might lose.

With the release of the new version tomorrow I will be updating all the blog sites I currently maintain. Some of the sites, including this one, will be getting a theme upgrade to display the new tags. You see, the space under the top menu on the right was intended to hold my tags but I had issues with the various tagging plug-ins.

Hopefully all will go well and I’ll be back to normal Tuesday and I won’t have any major issues. I might also trying moving some of the blogs that are on their own database into one I have created to share all my blogs since there is no need to have a db for each site.
