Asshat of the Week
It’s time to pick someone that was in the news over the past week and made a complete asshat of themselves. This past week has been full of delectable choices but I think the one that undeniably is the winner is Senator Larry Craig (R) from the fine state of Idaho.
This fine gentleman, a moral pillar of the community, supporting family values and all that jazz, gets arrested in a bathroom incident for disorderly conduct and pleads guilty. Talk about your ultimate hypocrite, fighting for moral standards he can’t keep himself. I realize we are all human and prone to error, but to be so far left and right at the same time speaks volumes of someones character.
When he’s arrested, he tries to pull a “Do you know who I am?” routine on the officer and thankfully Sgt. Dave Karsnia does his job. Sgt. Karsnia even made an effort to keep things from quickly getting out of hand by shielding the Senator from other people.
Now once the story does break (you think THAT was gonna be kept quiet forever?), we have the fine Senator proclaiming he’s been caught in a “sting” and is not only innocent, but not gay. Yes, he checked with his wife and he’s not gay. “I’m a victim of entrapment!”. Yeah, right.
Now that that’s out of the way, let’s get on to his position in Congress. Looks like the GOP is getting ready to drop a hot potato!. Oh my, I guess it’s time to consider retiring. Ok, let’s just retire. No wait, I don’t think I want to retire.
Just retire already you asshat!
