Ok, we all knew Ben was gay, but deadly?

A track athlete has recently died from an overdose of one of the ingredients in Ben Gay. Now, I might just be mistaken, but most OTC medicine can kill you if abused or not used according to the directions written on the package. What makes this any different?

It’s because a child has died. “Think of the children!”, the people scream. TOTC! This kid, ok, young adult, after all she was in High School, has died because she made the mistake of not following the directions and her mother is now reaching for someone to blame. She actually says she can’t believe an OTC medicine can kill. What fucking rock has this woman been living under?

Now there is going to be all this needless attention on a product that has done nothing wrong. I’ll admit I am the first person that will rush to defend a person against a corporation, but in this case I have the feeling the manufacturer of Ben Gay is going to get the sharp end of a pointy stick here. Of course, most of the blame for the disproportionate response to this tragedy will fall squarely on the media for hyping up another TOTC to keep the sheeple distracted.

What’s next? Let’s blow up the sun! It causes all kinds of skin cancer, and you know, if you stare at it you can actually go blind! Think of the Children!!
