This monkey is finally settling in and beginning to enjoy the island life.

About two months ago I made a big change in my life. I’ve packed up my essentials, put my house up for sale and moved to the Virgin Islands. I started thinking and then planning about a year ago and when the opportunity to rent an apartment in the same building as a friend I jumped at it. Don’t forget to check my blog about living in St. Thomas, I’ll be writing about the move as well as other things about living there.

It’s been slow getting settled and into that comfort zone but I think I am just starting to reach that point. I’m still waiting on a part for my development server and as soon as I get that, I’ll be able to get all my blogs updated to latest version of Wordpress and start posting regularly again.

I’ll be back to my usual monkeyshines soon! There’s sure been no shortage of good material in the news these days.

The world lost one of the great comedians this week with the death of George Carlin. There was a time in my youth when I could have recited every line from his AM/FM album, nearly wearing out the vinyl from playing so much.

It’s hard to believe it, but the blog has made it a whole year and I’m still updating it!

When I started my blog, I had already been doing something similar but was hand coding each page and entry. Switching to WordPress made a huge difference in keeping me on track. It no longer feels like a chore to write an entry.
